Holiday! Most people, here in USA, will have a day off work. This is also an official “first day of summer travel season”, funky name for what should be a somber day of remembrance. Madison Avenue has managed to turn this weekend into yet another shopping bonanza, which will likely be even more pronounced this year. Those who won’t shop, a minority, will probably spend today and maybe tomorrow either at a picnic or a BBQ, weather permitting. Locally, sunshine is expected. At first, I had intentions of getting away for couple of days, but ultimately decided to stay home and just be lazy.
I don’t even expect to trade this afternoon or overnight. Traditionally, this is a very slow day for currencies. This decade there were only 2 memorial days when movements were large enough to justify bothering with it. Of course, spreads are also wider, some brokers might open later and so on. Not ideal conditions.
Here is a chart of USD-CHF on Memorial day in 2007.

Yes, this is an extreme example, with daily range all of 30 pips. Unlikely that tomorrow will be this quiet, but nothing exciting should be expected, either. Even typically more lively pairs, like the beast, are, more often than not, subdued on this day.

GBP-JPY last year had a daily range of about 90 pips. Not much for this cross. It is always possible that some breaking news could cause sudden activity, so I will watch the start of trading day, mostly Yen pairs and than check London open. Outside of that I fully expect a day of glorious slumber. Will go over long term charts at leisure, maybe share tomorrow if something interesting is found, and finish the book I started to read, but don’t seem to find the time to finish- “Death by Black Hole” by Neil deGrasse Tyson.
Wish everybody sunny and enjoyable holiday!

I am still a little bit confused how to earn much money on Forex Trading, i know several people who earn thousands of bucks from forex trading.”‘`
It is lust like any other trading, you can make money, but you can also lose it. Returns depend on a lot of things, most important is winning strategy. Of course, nobody makes money all the time and it takes a while to become profitable on consistant bases.
